Sound:

A hot show! "As Long As I Have You" especially stands out. An enjoyable, decent sounding recording which is maybe just on par with the Whisky-A-Go-Go (5/1/69) recording. Slightly distant and a little muddy in some places but it does have some moments of clarity. There is what sounds like a damaged section of tape during "I Can't Quit You Baby" but it recovers quickly. There is another 1st Gen > DAT which is from the same source and has a longer intro, but has been subjected to too much NR (see below).

Pinkrudy Notes:
I got this in trade. This source is raw with no remastering. There was another 1st Gen > DAT torrented but was NR'd (metallic sound). The EV release "Boston After dark" sounded the same as the torrent version. They must have been from the same source? This version doesn't have the 30 second long intro that was on the other 1st Gen unfortunately but I think the sound is nicer than both.
