Russell Castley-Adams

Freelance Graphic Designer

I'm Russ, a freelance graphic designer with over 20 years of experience creating brand identities and design that look sharp, communicate clearly and stand out.

I started out in London agencies, working on retail brand, identity and interior communications for clients including British Airways, Waitrose, O2 and Accessorize. I then moved into strategic design consultancy, and for the past 12 years I led creative within an in-house agency, taking projects from first brief to final delivery for major retailers including Argos, Next, Very and Furniture Village.

That mix of agency grounding and creative leadership means I'm used to being the person clients rely on for the whole picture: concept, craft and consistency across every touchpoint.

What I do

  • Brand identity and guidelines
  • Concept development
  • Editorial and brochure design
  • Packaging, POS and signage
  • Print and digital production
  • Photography post-production

Typography, colour and layout are central to everything I do, and I bring working knowledge of AI image tools to photography post-production and image enhancement.

Working together

I work directly with clients, so you deal with the person doing the design. Whether you need a brand built from scratch, guidelines to keep your team consistent, or a campaign rolled out across print, digital and large-format, I'll deliver work that is considered and communicates clearly.

If you have a project in mind, I'd love to hear about it.
